Hello,
My name is Jaclyn Wright (she/hers) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have been in the mental health field for about 13 years working with people who have experienced trauma. I specialize in PTSD, survivors of sexual violence and childhood trauma, religious trauma, toxic workplace environments, anxiety, and life transitions. I believe healing can be found in a variety of ways unique to each of us. Our identities, experiences, and stories shape who we are. I believe it is monumental to learn how all of our identities intersect to create our authentic self. By understanding these, healing can be transformative.

Education & Background
Originally, from North Carolina, I received my Master of Social Work at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. After graduate school, I moved to Southern California where I have resided for over a decade. My clinical experience includes working in rape crisis agencies, LGBTQ+ agencies, community mental health, intensive outpatient services, supportive housing environments for adolescents, human trafficking agencies, child and family programs, college campuses, and veteran support services. I am trained in EMDR and often use this modality with clients who have experienced trauma and/or have PTSD.
MY APPROACH
I view the therapist and client relationship as a team. I believe the client is the expert of their experience and collaborate with them to create and explore their healing journey. I use modalities such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) along with creative options (art, music, writing) to support sessions. I strive to create the safest space possible for clients. I prioritize a trauma-focused, liberation-focused, intersectional, and social justice lens while working with people.
