Hello,

I am Dianna Heun. I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). Throughout the past 10 years I have supported young children and their families in a school and private office setting. I also have a passion for supporting teens to realize their full potential in what can be a difficult transitional stage of their lives. My most recent experience in community mental health the past 3 years is with families in the peripartum period (pregnancy-postpartum) as they navigate family planning, loss, relational changes, attachment and bonding with baby, parenting and postpartum emotional and mental well-being.

Following obtaining my Bachelors in Child Development from California State University, Northridge in 2011 I began my career in the behavioral field supporting children with developmental delays and working in education. Although, felt there was more wanted to do to support the children I worked with, so I pursued a Masters in Early Childhood Mental Health with emphasis on becoming a LPCC at San Diego State University in 2016. Upon completion in 2019 I began working in community mental health supporting underserved population in the peripartum period.

Additionally, love incorporating mindfulness and grounding exercises as well into sessions. My specialties include: anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and Peripartum.
