Hello,
My name is Narae Bernabe and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. For over 10 years I have had the privilege to provide support to numerous children, families, and adults experiencing different levels of life challenges as well as traumas. Life is a journey where we can encounter hurdles that we become stuck in or climb uphill battles that seem never ending. My role as your therapist is to help you become more aware of yourself and surroundings so that you can reclaim being the expert that you already are in conquering and moving past your life’s barriers.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

I have a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley which I earned in 2008. I graduated with a Master in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2013. Following my master’s program, I developed my clinical skills by working in the field of community mental health where I became trained and certified in numerous evidence based practices. In 2020, after dedicating many years to community mental health, I transitioned into working in an inpatient psychiatric unit at a hospital where I could further expand and strengthen my therapeutic abilities as it is considered one of the highest levels of care for mental health.
APPROACH

To help cultivate personal growth for my clients I utilize a client-centered approach to assist individuals with gaining greater self-awareness. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as I am a certified CBT therapist that can help actively challenge the roadblocks that have been getting in the way of healing.
